ABOUT ME
When I was a kid, I dreamt of being an artist or a chef because I wanted to bring my imagination to life. I wanted to create products that amazed, that filled people with a sense of wonder.
Many years later, I chose mechanical engineering for my undergraduate major for two reasons: I excelled at math and physics and I believed it was a very practical choice. Over my next three years at Carnegie Mellon, however, I met tons of people who chose their major not because it was practical, but because they loved it. I admired and envied that, and they inspired me to look back at my childhood dreams to see if I couldn’t somehow make them come true.
That is why I am now pursuing a Master of Integrated Innovation for Products and Services. I want to combine my interests in engineering and design to develop new products that connect with and enhance the lives of people through the experiences that those products create. This program, which is tied between the School of Design, the Tepper School of Business, and the Carnegie Institute of Technology, is helping me achieve this goal by providing me with a more complete and interdisciplinary understanding of the product development process.
Outside of work, I enjoy doing a variety things from dabbling in music to playing outdoors to gaming with friends. Two activities that take up much of my free time at the moment are bouldering/rock climbing and playing the flute in CMU's "band without pants", the Kiltie Band.
If you would like to talk to me, I'd love to hear from you!
